Index Nominum is the international database of pharmaceutical substances, trade preparations, synonyms and chemical structures.

• Search by substance name, trade name, CAS registry number, therapeutic group, ATC code, ATCvet code or manufacturer. More than 3,800 pharmaceutical substances and derivatives with international non-proprietary names (INN) as well as German, French, Spanish and Latin substance names.
• More than 85,500 trade names of drugs used in human and veterinary medicine (single-drug preparations and the most important combination preparations) from 163 countries
• Overview of international non-proprietary names (INN), IUPAC nomenclature and official synonyms as well as single-drug preparations and combination preparations (double and selected triple and quadruple) from 163 countries
• Special labeling of pediatric drugs
• Pharmaceutical substances no longer on the market are still included in the database and labeled "off market." Commercial preparations that have been taken off the market are tagged "off market" by country.
